Serpico "The Weakest Boy in the Troop Award" CD

This CD is Serpico's fourth full length release, and the band's second on Excursion Records. This Staten Island, NY based band has been prolific, releasing numerous 7" singles and compilation tracks as well as their LPs on Excursion and NY's Equal Vision Records. Many of these tracks have been extremely limited or not readily available as they were released in Europe only, so this CD has been put out to bring these songs together in the digital realm and make them available to everyone. If you've never heard of Serpico, it may be because they spent the first few years together under a different name. That all changed when they were forced to rename themselves by England's SLEEPER. Those major Label folks couldn't have two bands running around with the same name, so our guys became Serpico. Rest assured, however, these guys play heavily Descendents influenced post-Hardcore, not wimpy Brit-pop.
