Red Rocket "July" CD
EXC-019
Red Rocket was Mr. Matt Matsuoka's band immediately after the end of Ten-O-Seven, and "July" was their 12 song Debut CD.
We'll let the critics describe it for you.
"A melodic emp punk / post hardcore quartet that graduated from
the school of Jawbreaker. Pretty harmonies give it a poppy punk feel
at times, slowly leading into noisier emo parts." -Rational Enquirer
"Earnest 'young man punk rock' with songs in the introspective
personal struggle vein. Music sorta has snatches of pop-punk, snatches
of emo, snatches of Jehu and Jawbreaker, even the Fastbacks. An obvious
abundance of ability and talent here." -MRR
"Reminds me of a younger Seaweed. The songs are dynamic, but
not overly complex." -Pulp 'zine
"Pop punk with surprising entertainment value. The vocals sound
like Jello Biafra singing for Green Day. The music is catchy, the
packaging is great." -Aneurysm 'zine
