To See You Broken "A Thief, A Poet, An Enemy" 7"/CD
EXC-033
The CD is 8 songs featuring 4 brand new tracks and 4 newly recorded versions of the tracks from their demo. (The 7" has only the new songs)
Following the release of their demo in 7" form on Agitprop Records
and their track on the "Power of Ten" compilation 7", this Seattle area
all-female HC band went back into the studio and recorded these 8
tracks for a summer 2002 release to coincide with their first US tour.
To See You Broken play Straight Edge style hardcore (4 out of 5
members claim the Edge) with a fresh take on the sound, which is not
surprising considering the lack of female influence in traditionally male
dominated HC.
Here's what some folks have said:
"Diverse, emotional melodic all-girl hardcore, with metal and rock
and roll influences." -Hardcoremusic.com
"Not just boys fun indeed, Mr. Seconds. Brutal for sure, but without
all the silly evil trappings. Blistering. Yes, in a word: blistering.
Angry, moshy goodness." -AMP Magazine
"A great record. Not only does this band have probably the coolest
name I've heard a band call themselves, but they play some pretty
rockin' music. I wouldn't pass this up if I were you." -Calamityproject.com
